10. Okay, normally I say women's looks are off limits for criticism.
But my mother would have slapped the snot out of me if I tried to wear that to a ceremony honoring a great man, regardless of how old I was at the time.

And I've worn dresses tighter than that, just not to an event like this.

And yes, her nipples are a little off sides, aren't they?
Had a little work done, maybe?

27. who died and made you any better?
"And remind me, please - wasn't there a recent presidential candidate whose boobies made a red carpet appearance?? Who was that...?"

uh, no. But why would you get worked about it if so, what - are you some kind of Victorian?

Wait - you mean Kerry's daughter, right?

Ah, I get it. so its just ok to squawk about Democrats, but the President's little brats are the only ones off limits.

32. Hello, look at how the hosts are dressed
Rather modestly, eh? A diplomatically inclined person might want to dress similarly when in the host country. It's just good manners.

23. Laura's Queen Mother imitation?
Maybe she got "Africa" and "Ascot" mixed up? This looks like the dowdy sort of outfit Queen Elizabeth would wear: perfect for a horse race or hospital opening.

I do like that shade of burnt orange on Condi, though: she looks almost attractive in this picture.

What I want to know, though: don't they carry irons on Air Force Whatever_they're_flying_on? Linen wrinkles: getting off the plane looking like you've slept in your outfit does not a good first impression make. I've looked less wrinkled after a 12 hour flight in coach!

19. In most European & African countries, hat are required ladies formal wear.
Edited on Wed Jan-18-06 02:10 PM by CottonBear
I love hats, but I don't like the hats that Mrs. Bush & Ms. Rice chose. They should have gotten Philip Treacy hats from London. Now those are hats that MAKE an outfit!

http://www.philiptreacy.co.uk/flash/welcome2.html

This hat would be perfect for Ms. Rice and her rather unfortunate choice of a wrinkly linen jacket and skirt. (She usually dresses do well. What happened to her? Maybe it was really hot, but still...)

This hat would look good on Mrs, Bush (SHe's need a suit to coordiante with the hat.):

18. The dress is age-appropriate for Barbara but it's a little too tight
Edited on Wed Jan-18-06 02:04 PM by CottonBear
for a formal event (or any event) and she does not have on proper support undergarments or a proper lining to the dress. The dress should not pull across her body like it does, rather itr should ahng slightly off the body. The shoes rock and the color is good on her. She is an attractive young woman and she would be more attactive if she wasn't wearing a skin-tight dress. The dress could be let out slightly and still look FITTED.

a tight dress, and no bra is fine for a saturday night out on the town, but when you are with the first lady and secretary of state, eh, it is a little trampy.

21. Actually, I think we've shown
miraculous restraint.

Imagine for a moment, the reaction from the right if Chelsea had worn that in public.

Of course, Chelsea WOULDN'T have done so because she has good taste, manners and a great set of parents who obviously taught her better.

Dressing like that to attend a ceremony for a dead civil rights leader is disrespectful, even more so because she's a daughter of the pResident.

It really speaks volumes about what kind of trash is residing in the White House.

Okay, forgive me but can't SOMEBODY teach that girl how to walk in high heels?

It does take practice and if you can't pull it off, you should really stick with heels that are 2" or lower.

She looks like Ellie May Clampett in that picture.
