Frist and his ilk put Gay marriage before other priorities
We have over 10,000 homeless in my city - some being beaten to death - the answer, ban Gay marriage.

Is it the "icky" factor, meaning does the thought of Gays make them feel icky? Or are they just too uncertain of their own sexuality to not have a convenient scapegoat to defend their own marital and sexual shortcomings? I would guess a little of both.

The RW should be ashamed to follow these prigs down the rabbit hole. Enough is enough.

1. well if they want to ban gay marriage
then they'll also have to make sure that mixed sex couples aren't gay.

Banning same sex marriage just means that they expect that marriage is about animal husbandry, not property rights. Banning marriage between two committed individuals means that you want to make it okay to be gay, but not okay to be in a relationship. On the one hand they bemoan the myth of sexual promiscuity, and on the other hand keep us locked out in the cold.

Call them on it, to their face. I give you Paul Hackett's speech which cuts to the heart of the issue:

3. Gays, liberals and arabs are fodder for their own shortcomings
The scariest RW'ers are those in the closet who are anti gay. And many are greedy undereducated, narrow minded scared little sissies who need big strong soldiers to protect them against make believe threats. The mafia couldn't have built a better protection racket.

4. Apparently gay marriage is the root of all our social ills.
Whodathunk? I'm in the western suburbs, so I don't see the homeless as much, but i know they're there.

Not to change the subject, but are you going to meet us downtown Tuesday night? See this thread -

5. I've never seen so many homeless
This year is the worst in my 15 years in SoFla
I might come to the downtown march next week. I've been to the peace protests in front of the courthouse a couple times.
Isn't there a better organized DU group in the tri county area? There should be before the next election.
Peace.
