I just Love how much of the Press lately has been
calling ** "Mr. Bush" !

Just this week I noticed in an article in the MSM that even went so far as to say "Mr. Bush and President Clinton in the same article....

Anyone else noticing this is getting to be the norm now, instead of the exception?

2. It's the policy of some papers
to use Mr., Ms. or whatever applies on second reference to all people. It's not just for *.

I'm sure in the example you cited it was the first reference to Clinton.

5. Not even on first reference?
That would be very odd. What paper was this?

7. Been going on since 2000. Likely a "folksy" strategy of the GOP

spin machine. They rarely called Bush, President Bush, at the start. While they always called all the ex-presidents "President So & so".

Go back 3 or 5 years. They called him Mr. Bush then alot too.

IMHO

8. That's the pattern of the press
Slam Bush on the weekends, when they think no one is reading, watching, or listening; then during the week, it's nothing but the pundits fawning all over his majesty King George!
