Irony slapped me in the face last night
During a heated game of Trivial Pursuit, Genus 5 edition, last night a History question was asked. "What 2000 presidential hopeful chose Taking Care of Business as a theme song. Well of course it was George W. Bush, and who has he taken care of? Well, BUSINESS of course. Not the people, not the country, not the constitution, but BUSINESS.

Is it just me or does this just smack of his agenda from the beginning?

2. He's a disaster for business.
If you're not big oil, George is crushing you with the burden of health care. If you don't offer it, you can't attract decent talent. If you do, you're crushed by rising rates.

If you have to import or transport anything, George and big oil have screwed you.

Bush hasn't taken care of business. He has de-funded innovation and scientific research. All the things that lead to new patents, new jobs. Bush has vitiated everything that made America competitive in the world. Meanwhile, nations he doesn't even notice are forging alliances for trade, oil, and defense. Thanks to George, the United States is being marginalized.

Not to mention the crushing debt, inflation, and the devalued dollar.

There is NO area in which Bush has not been beyond incompetent. If he were an enemy agent, his masters would be preparing accolades and awards for the destruction to our infrastruction. If the wolf blew on our house right now, it would fall down.

as the last business up and took flight,
no more jobs came to stay, as all the earnings drove away,
and angry people came to say,
~Who has stolen our economy this day."
but few enough those people were,
that stupid ones were not deterred,
and finally, the story goes, the good guys won and evil froze,
so much death and bankruptcy,
of ten million jobs that used to be.
