I think our mods are taking action against freepers who have hideously clogged our server lately... it's called Project X and it will get rid of a lot of these problem children.

Liberal columnist Joe Conason thinks it�s unfair that photos of Bill Clinton�s coffee meetings were forced into the open, whereas photos of Bush with Abramoff are unreleased so far, while the media yawn. Some complain that the press took arguments for Clinton�s impeachment seriously but not arguments for Bush�s impeachment today.

They are taking it more seriously by the minute, in spite of a major propaganda campaign by the tyrant. Even top repukes are expressing concern and may let it happen.

Insofar as "no new posts" ... DU apparently got its clock set ahead by an hour and now it's adjusted. Thus, for an hour after the clock fix, posts time-stamped in that "future" mode get sorted higher on the 'most recent' sort order which is the default sequence.

Make sense?

sorry... why did ONE post remain at the top while many under it changed? I couldn't kick anything to the top when this stuff took place but it kept changing non-the-less... all but the top posting.

8. Think about it. The last post made during the clock set-ahead ...

... would remain at the top while all subsequent posts would sort lower until the corrected timestamps caught up to the last set-ahead timestamp.

(Those of us who've done a lot of programming are used to figuring out such behavior by systems, so I lose track of how those without such backgrounds view it.)
