The Alito Confirmation Makes Me Ill, but, It Does Not Surprise Me.
A simple counting of the number of Senators and you could see what was coming. The only way we could have won, in my opinion, was if they nominated and confirmed someone who then threw off his disguise and out step Earl Warren.

That was never going to happen again; they set up the Federalist Society in order to insure that would never happen again. So, when we lost in 2000 and then lost Senate in 2002 the game was over.

We are now faced with the choices of washing our hands of the whole thing and take what comes, or, shoot ourselves in the foot with some doomed fantasy of a third-party that will march to power, or, working like hell to recapture the Congress…to hell with the Presidency….get it if we can, but it is the Congress that moves impeachment, confirmations and laws.

So flame away…you will get no rebuttal from me.

2. It'll make the Alito Impeachment all the more satisfying...
... after all, this business of whether or not he was really a member of CAP raises some -- dare I say it -- questions which I do believe a Democratic-majority Congress would be very interested in investigating.

3. Scalia impeachment more likely
Scalia seems to like to take trips. Very expensive trips. See the pattern here?

5. Well I'm washing my hands...
So they'll be nice and clean when I fill out the application for Canadian citizenship.
