Great story on '24' - warning, spoiler
Apologies if posted already. Cannot search effectively.

Anyway, last we've heard, Walt Cummings, the W.H. chief of staff was in cahoot with the terrorists who first killed two hostages - and were going to kill more - then grabbed several cylinders of toxic gas, destination unknown.

This evening Cummings was exposed and... this was a plan to let the terrorists take the cylinders to their hideaway place in Central Asia. Once there, Cummings' man would detonate them thus killing all the terrorists in their dens and.... assuring the supply of Central Oil to the U.S.

3. Thanks. Forgot about that
One thing, every time that we see how incompetent and idiot the president is I am reminded that this is not "just a movie."

4. Agree on that point-it scares me to watch the fictitious president
as much as it does the real one.

5. propaganda placement
to make the president seem honorable.

In real life he is in on it...and no way would a Jack Bauer or chief of security dare interfere.

Those position would be hand picked to eliminate any possiblity.

The other phony part is that the president has ultimate authority. In real life he is a mere puppet to the unseen interests.

6. Have you seen the show though?
The Republican president they have on there is an incompetent piece of shit that's a laughing stock to other characters on the show.

8. I caught enough of it to get
the gist.

Total propaganda of the most dangerous sort.

picture this-
Hitler's gestapo-propaganda arm writes a comic book superman hero piece of fictional trash.
The enemies that is directly aimed at, call it a great story line.

It's Fox fer cryin out loud...

and this shit is presenting a warped view to all America's youth...Highly dangerous stuff.

notice how they had to throw in the torture bit and it works like a charm every time...

pure trash

Where are your critical thinking skills?

10. Come on now, I don't accept that
There have been many liberal things that have come from Fox Entertainment. Family Guy, American Dad, The Day After Tomorrow, those are just off the top of my head.

It was a very powerful storyline tonight and hopefully, it caused the many conservatives that watch this show to think.

11. Fox entertainment

can have it's moments when it comes to thrashing the right..Simpsons comes to mind... but almost all portray weak, bumbling, ineffectual male father figures that are not to be obeyed. Even That 70's show where the father is a hardass...The children just ignore.

24 is no friend of the left, and a storyline with an idiot president so therefore the need for a superduper security police state...Is NOT a good story for impressionable minds.

13. The days of "father knows best" are long gone
I don't watch many "family" sitcoms but the father as a bumbling fool has been around for twenty years now.

The fact that some on the 24 message board are crying that now "24" made a turn to the left, after the West Wing, Boston Legal and Commander in Chief, is enough to rejoice.

14. I've been watching the show since the first episode.
And my critical thinking skills are intact.

Politics seem to go back and forth on 24.

The show debuted with the first black President, the morally unimpeachable David Palmer, who dropped his wife for lying to him.

There's the torture aspect of the show, the need for which which it generally tends to re-inforce, which sucks.

But all-in-all, it's an apolitical show, and it has something for everyone.

It would be a pretty lame world if we all only watched the media we agreed with 100%.

7. Oh, man. I blogged right through that. And despite my hatred now
for that series--which has been teasing us with variations of this plot for three years and then copping out--I haven't missed an ep since 2002.
