PsyOps Parade Jill Caroll, Al-Zawahri Ahead of Bush Speech

Jill Carroll, the kidnapped US journalist held in Iraq, has appeared in a new video, wearing a veil, weeping and appealing for the release of women Iraqi prisoners.

The video, aired by Aljazeera on Monday, has been widely aired in the United States, with most television stations broadcasting only a few seconds of it, calling it too disturbing. And in a new video also released Monday, al-Qaida's Ayman al-Zawahri has mocked President Bush as a "failure" and threatened a new attack in the United States.

The two propaganda videos come ahead of a State of the Union address by President George Bush is due to make later today --under pressure on domestic and foreign policy issues.

In a deeply ironic comment, Mark Ensalaco, an international terrorism expert said the tape's release may have been timed to come before Bush's State of Union address. "Al-Qaida is very conscious of such things," he said.

"Having bin Laden and al-Zawahri appear in quick succession in these tapes underscores the fact that they're alive and well and still plotting attacks," he said.

Al-Qaida, my ass! This is a double-whammy by Black Ops.

These sick bast**ds are putting Jill Carroll through a living hell for bush's political benefit.

Jill Carroll, the kidnapped US journalist held in Iraq, has appeared in a new video, weeping and appealing for the release of women Iraqi prisoners.

The video, aired by Aljazeera on Monday, showed Carroll wearing a veil but carried no sound.

Aljazeera said the 28-year-old journalist appealed for the release of women Iraqi prisoners.

The footage had a time signature with the date 28 January......

The latest video of Carroll was widely reported in the United States, but most television stations refused to broadcast more than a few seconds of it, calling it too disturbing.....

The Christian Science Monitor expressed deep concern on Monday over her fate.

Al-Zawahri threatens new U.S. attacks

Updated Tue. Jan. 31 2006 6:35 AM ET Associated Press

CAIRO, Egypt — In a new video aired Monday, al-Qaida's No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri mocked President Bush as a "failure" in the war on terror, called him a "butcher" for killing innocent Pakistanis in a miscarried airstrike and chastised the United States for rejecting Osama bin Laden's offer of a truce.

Al-Zawahri, wearing white robes and a white turban and speaking in a forceful and angry voice, also threatened a new attack in the United States — "God willing, on your own land."

The video, broadcast on Al-Jazeera TV a day before Bush delivers his State of the Union address, provided the first concrete evidence that al-Zawahri was still alive after the Jan. 13 airstrike in eastern Pakistan that targeted him but killed four other al-Qaida leaders and 13 villagers......

Mark Ensalaco, an international terrorism expert at the University of Dayton, Ohio, said the tape's release may have been timed to come before Bush's State of Union address. "Al-Qaida is very conscious of such things," he said.

"Having bin Laden and al-Zawahri appear in quick succession in these tapes underscores the fact that they're alive and well and still plotting attacks," he said.......

1. It's either psyops, or everything is as bad as it seems
and jr can't do anything about any of it. Take your pick.

2. This
does *Bush no favor in my mind. To me it points out his failure to secure the peace and democracy and human rights that he will be spouting off about tonight.

3. Big win and small loss...
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 12:28 PM by BreakForNews
Well the downside is that it reflects some on the Commander
in Chief but this is offset by the big PsyOp gains:

Al-Zawahri & Osama videos:

1. PsyOps Impression that the world is a dangerous place.
2. PsyOps Impression that the U.S. is still under threat.
3. PsyOps Impression that only alternative to war is a "terrorist" victory.
4. PsyOps Impression that National Security (wiretapping etc) is justified to defend the Homeland.

Jill Carroll video:

1. PsyOps Impression that the "enemy" is a despicable abuser of women.
2. PsyOps Impression that the "enemy" victimizes the innocent.
3. PsyOps Impression the world is a dangerous place.
4. PsyOps Impression that defeat means a burka for U.S. women.
5. PsyOps Impression that you can't negociate a just peace with Iraq resistance,
just as you can't negociate a deal with kidnappers in non-military context.
