There is a point in a population where when enough lawbreakers exist a law loses relevancy. If 20 million people a year (whatever the number is) get abortions when it's legal, even if you caught all 20 million who are going to have an abortion next year you couldn't possibly try them or jail them or even effectively track them year after year after year.

So go ahead. Make our day, Alito. You're about to find out the consequences of having one third of the population remove freedom of choice from the other two thirds.

Fillibuster would have only delayed the inevitable. We needed to step up a campaign that not only included Democratic senators, but moderate Republicans as well in order to get majority of No votes on Alito's confirmation.
