8-year-old boy is handcuffed while at school

BAKERSFIELD - A Bakersfield mother is demanding answers after she found her son handcuffed at school, by campus security, Monday.

Francisca Reyes is the mother of an 8-year-old boy that was handcuffed Monday morning at North Beardsley Elementary School.

She is outraged by the actions taken by the school.

“My son's wrists were all red from the cuffs when I got there,” said Reyes.

...or another of those freakish fatbastard Cartman wannabes popping up in the Western world with alarming frequency.

Still, that doesn't mean he deserves to get handcuffed for "thrashing about". And seriously, if trained security personnel can't restrained a kid, even a 130-lb. kid, what hope do they have with the school's sixth-graders, who would be getting to the point where they're developing muscle to go with a mass of 130 lbs. or more?

"No, no cuffing of children in my presence."

"But that eight-year-old just threatened to kill you."

"I am not afraid of the eight-year-old killing me. If he lunnges towards me, then we'll deal with it."

To Kid: "Want to go get an ice cream right before I take you to Grammie's?"

Kid: "Yeah. O.K."
