Al Gore -SOTU Response

Does anyone think Gore should have been chosen to give the SOTU response? I really would have liked to see Gore give the response in that he would have given a clear alternative to the Bush policies. In addition, he would have called Bush out on his lies.

The good thing is that the Democratic response is soon forgotten. Let's just hope those who will be on TV after that will not be too conciliant.
