Cong. Bob Beauprez (R-Chickenhawk) - Pulling a Bush McFlightsuit
Edited on Thu Feb-02-06 01:02 PM by HawkeyeX
This is the moron that is running for Governor of Colorado:

Dear Network Member,

We are veterans who served in Vietnam and this photo of Congressman Bob Beauprez at the Front Range Airport in Watkins, Colorado from June, 2004 troubles us.

We have reviewed the Selective Service Classification History for Robert Louis Beauprez and these records indicate that he requested and received three different student deferments. They also indicate that Beauprez came up for the draft, based on his lottery drawing for 1970 of #160.

Yet on August 6, 1970 the records indicate that Beauprez was "excused" because of a questionable "physical reason."

Mr. Beauprez appears to want it both ways: he publicly parades in a military issued uniform, and yet the records show Beauprez never served.

Join us in calling on Mr. Beauprez to apologize for misleading us:

http://www.progressnowaction.org/beauprezshouldapologize

While Beauprez claims he’s for veterans, he has the worst voting record of any of the Colorado congressional delegation on veteran's issues according to the Disabled American Veterans.

Join us to hold Beauprez and other elected officials accountable for their support of veterans by clicking the link below.

Thank you for your help in ensuring that our elected officials respect those who have served.

Sincerely,

Staff Sergeant Mike Collins
United States Army Infantry
1st Air Calvary Division, Vietnam

Sergeant Jim Hudson
Vietnam Veteran (1969-70)

Bob Resling
Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel
Pilot in Vietnam (1969-72)

1. Is that legal?
I thought there was a law against impersonating an officer or any soldier for that matter.

3. Make the pic into a poster (not too expensive these days with PCs
and printers) and include his voting record against benefits/treatments for veterans . . .

and then paste it all around . . .

5. "I love a man in a uniform"
Time with my girl I spent it well
I had to be strong for my woman

>You must be joking
>Oh man you must be joking

She needed to be protected

The good life was so elusive
Handouts, they got me down
I had to regain my self respect
So I got into camoflauge

The girls they love to see you shoot

>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform

To have ambitions was my ambition
But I had nothing to show for my dreams
Time with my girl I spent it well

>You must be joking
>Oh man you must be joking

The good life was so elusive
Handouts, they got me down
I had to regain my confidence
So I got into camoflauge

The girls they love to see you shoot

>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform

I need an order
>Shoot shoot
I need an order
>Shoot shoot
I need an order
>Shoot shoot
I need an order
>Shoot shoot

To have ambition was my ambition
Time with my girl I spent it well

>You must be joking
>Oh man you must be joking

The girls they love to see you shoot
The girls they love to see you shoot

>I love a man in a uniform
>I love a man in a uniform

They love to see you shoot

>I love a man in a uniform

The girls they love to see you shoot

>I love a man in a uniform

They love to see you shoot
The girls they love to see you shoot

==>I love a man in a uniform
==They love to see you shoot
==>>Bang bang
==>>They love

The girls they love to see you shoot
>I love a man in a uniform

6. This is really pathetic
Is he even allowed to wear a uniform - it seems like it shouldn't be legal.

What's strange is that I have never seen pictures of the true veterans of either side wearing uniforms. In the montage of pictures in 2004, Kerry is never shown in uniform since 1971. You don't see McCain, Hagel, Clealand, or Kerrey in uniform either.

8. Perhaps Mr. Beauprez is all ready to sign up at last
I would imagine that there are one or two guys sitting in the Iraqi desert so full of sand and grit that their eyeballs grind against their eyelids who would be glad to let Mr. Beauprez take their spot, and he could find out at last -- up close and personal -- what wearing a uniform means.
