Two days ago, we all heard about the SOTU. How our "(Pertinent brat child)" wanted to improve education, help the health care system, cares about the elderly and their perscriptions, improve college opportunities, help the poor and most vulnerable etc..etc..

Bring the deficit to half of what it is today by 2009....

Yesterday, the next day, * submits a budget to cut Medicare, Medicaid, school lunch programs, decrease pell grants for college help, slash the child care and after school programs, cut funding for more teachers of Math and Science etc..etc..

...and it was PASSED by TWO votes. He rushed to sign it!

Today, it's announced that $120 billion more dollars (this time) will be needed for the farce that is being called a war!

Now you wonder WHO is paying for this? I can't believe there hasn't been more outrage. I would guess it's an 'overload' of scandel right now. People simply can't keep up.. I know I am beginning to feel like I'm wrapped in sleeze, each time I even enter C-span's channel...

But only the bloggosphere understands the idiocy. The talking heads have all been taken over by republicanazi aliens from another planet.

Is why I nominated the thread. I am familiar with it and I suspect that most DUer's have thought about it over the course of the past couple of years. THIS is the roadblock in our path. This is what is keeping the momentum from crashing over the administration and sweeping them away like the 9th ward.

I can hear the voice of the American saying "No! THAT can't be true.. they WOULDN'T, they COULDN'T It's just too ridiculous!" It's the same way we react to horrors visited upon a baby... We can't fathom a mind that would conceive something so despicable.

This is why pictures matter. We have to hold their faces to it, and shake them by the shoulders and say "YES!.. YOU would never do anything this awful! BUT THEY DID!
