OPEC to Bush, "Drop Dead"/Texas to the Rest of Us, Say"Please"
Raymond J. Learsy HUffington Post
02.03.2006

"George W. Bush runs the risk of alienating the world's biggest source of oil with his plan to end America's "oil addiction." So proclaimed OPEC delegates and oil ministers yesterday. His plan was neither "achievable nor prudent and could make investment in the industry more difficult. He has not heeded the call to give producers a road map of future demand" to help petro- states decide on how much to spend on future capacity.

This from members of the OPEC cartel that has steadfastly stonewalled any attempt to fully disclose or submit its reserves and production capacities to outside audit so that consuming nations could plan their future energy needs intelligently with real data rather than a plethora of OPEC cartel press releases.

Further puzzlement was expressed by Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Washington, Prince Turki, for signaling out of the Middle East in Mr. Bush's address. "Is that a declaration that the U.S. is going to work to be independent of Canadian oil, Mexican Oil and Venezuelan oil? I see no threat to America from receiving its oil from the Middle East." This from a representative of a anation that gave us 15 of the 9/11 highjackers and to this day provides the largest number of "foreign" suicide bombers in Iraq, not to speak of the billions going to Wahaabi madrassas and mosques throughout the world preaching hatred of Western democracy and our way of life.

The "Comedia" continues with our Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman's craven backtracking at the first sign of Saudi and OPEC cartel displeasure by stating "that was purely an example" when referring to the Presidents statement "...make our dependence on Middle East Oil a thing of the past." This, by way of thank you to Saudi Arabia for holding the "line" on prices against Iranian and Venezuelan pressures at the ongoing OPEC cartel meeting to push them even higher than their current excessive levels (see my blog "OPEC Agonistes" January 29,2006) while having his Department of Energy subscribe to and give public credence to the fiction that oil is a freely traded commodity.

....SNIP"

Oils well that ends well...
Well you just had to know that the regurgitated bullshit that moron* was spewing the other night was well regurgitated bullshit.

Point in question: We are addicted to oil, blah blah blah, cut U.S. use by 75% come 2025.

dramatic pause...

Well guess the fuck what. He lied!! woo hoo...I'm so surprised you could knock me over with a full cement truck.

scotty tissue mccellan, whose mom by the way, left the repuke party so she could run as an independent against helmet head perry, stated in no uncertain terms, that the moron* was on crack. What he really meant was that we COULD be 75% cut by that time, but it doesn't mean that we actually WILL be 75% free from oil.

Now, in real world terms, he was full of shit. The saudis had a shit fit (reading between the lines) and raked his ass over the coals and told him basically to get his act together because if we suddenly start doing the conservation bullshit, they will incite such a fucking middle east uprising that it would make the current situation look manageable.

I only know this because the members of OPEC came out today and basically said, "oh you, mr. silly, you can't cut off our lifeline, because it is just so complex that you can't simply say no more oil, all sorts of bad things will happen, so shut the fuck up and go back to playing with your blocks. fuck you and have a nice day".

2. Amazing - this blogosphere. We see the fractals. By fractals I mean
Kaos theory and how repeated patterns are found in nature. They looked at Pollacks art-work, and found it was so appealing because in dripping paint - he was actually making larger patterns, that then were mirrored in smaller patters. And in doing so he replecated nature. The patterns of which we are unknowingly so familiar with. The same thing with a Norqhuest fax tree.

And even though we are not so organized as the GOP - we too - organize into such efficient patterns. Be it gossip, or marketing, or politics.

So the patterns are there. We hear the news. It inspires a thousand bloggers who happen to be at the same place. And the columnist, for whom opinion they are expert on, pick up on it.

So yeah - on any given day - we think something before it makes it into the MSA or the official blogs. And it is nature. And normal. We have just been so isolated from living in small communities - that we have ignored the power of it - to do good, or disemminate information.

A flock of birds will fly in a group and mystically all move left, a tree branches and branches repeatedly (hell they are plants, what do they know). And we humans. Liberals. Perhaps not part of a machine (not like GOP). React and respond in something brilliant and effective and efficient. And perhaps - as nature always is - more efficient than any of our parts.

Like an eco-system.

So you say & think. And someone else does. And it happens. Amazing!
