I Counted Six Blacks In the Runners Crowd At The N.O. Marathon....
MSNBC just showed a piece on the N.O. Marathon run today. In the crowd of runners for the short time they showed the runners I counted only 6 blacks. Looks like *Co accomplished what they wanted to in N.O. (sarcasm) I'm so devastated that the culture of old New Orleans is all but gone and doesn't look like it will come back.

I live in an area that is about 50/50 black/white and our marathons and distance races are usually all white. I don't know why.

I know there is a racial divide in sprint and distance runners in track and field, but I don't know why or whether it carries over into the general population.

I believe black folks will make their way back to NO when they are ready to, and when there are facilities and jobs. A totally white middle class culture simply cannot support the tourism.
