Dean to pick Gore as V.P.
I just heard Fox news say that Dean was talking to Gore about being him for the VP slot. I have looked on their web site, but I cannot find anything else on it. I don't trust Fox, so has anyone else heard anything about this?

Is this an attempt to revive his campaign?

What do you guys think?

1. well, it could be a desperation attempt to revive his campaign
I think it would help actually, he would get a lot of media attention, and that would put Dean in contention in Tenn.

2. I guess Gore's endorsement wasn't enough to slaughter Dean's chances
He know wants to be burried 6 feet under by selecting Gore as V.P.? I'll believe it when I se it.

4. That Would be a Bombshell!
Frankly, I don't know why Al would be interested, but it would be the thing that could revive Dean's campaign. It might completely change the landscape. Or maybe it's just a ploy to keep people speculating and keep Dean in the news. He seems to be good at it.

5. I don't think Gore would do it again
It might be a way to get people excited. But Gore was VP for 8 years, and I just don't see him doing it again...

8. "I don't trust Fox?" Good decision. If their mouths move, they're lying.

10. I don't know why Gore would do this

If he wanted to run this year he could have gone for the top prize.

I am curious if Dean will announce a VP pick now, instead of waiting for the convention. Reagan did that when he ran in '76 against Ford (he picked Schweiker, a moderate R from PA to try to tone down his radical image). It didn't work, and was considered a "hail Mary" pass to try to stop Ford.

Maybe Dean will announce a southerner VP with military creds soon?
