New meme from Frist: No need for spying to be "thrown over to the courts"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060220/ap_on_go_co/eavesdropping;_ylt=Ao1D.p2lZzuanYmvtuQENNSs0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA3OXIzMDMzBHNlYwM3MDM-

Frist also said he didn't think a court order is needed before eavesdropping, under the program, occurs. "Does it have to be thrown over to the courts? I don't think so. I personally don't think so," he said.

Why even have that pesky FISA court, since we shouldn't "throw over" things like domestic spying to them? Why "throw over" any things to courts -- they just get in the way! We don't need no stinkin' courts!! :eyes:

1. Under FISA, a court order is NOT required BEFORE eavesdropping
occurs. It is required within 72 hours AFTER it occurs.

2. True, they have 3 days to "throw it over to the courts."
But Frist, "personally," thinks BushCo's doing just fine in ignoring the court altogether.

3. In other words ...
... the Courts should have no power to protect our Constitutional rights from abuses by the executive branch of government. Yeah, right.

These people have no sense of shame. :puke:

5. Wel then, Frist won't object to his stock trading being investigated

without the use of warrants and other obsolete instruments.

6. It may take years, but, IMHO, Bush's problem is a court declaring
the spying illegal and unconstitutional. I think the ACLU has sued, and one other organization has also sued. If the courts do not declare it illegal, we are in for some scary times ahead.
