As proof, look at how Bush has gone from 12 points ahead to 3 points behind Kerry in the polls. Without the debates, Democrats are shut out of the media, or are reported negatively, and cannot hope to win any election. Without access to the public, no Party can compete with the Repubs. But the debates have stirred up a lot of interest in the voting public and they are listening. That is why the Democrats have made so much progress in the last few weeks. They have been given the opportunity to get out their message. Whether this will continue after the nominee is chosen is open to debate, literally. Most likely the corporate media and the cable outlets will go back to parroting the White House and Republican lines and the Democrat will once again be put up in the attic with the crazy aunt...
