The people who are in power in America right now appear to be ruthless and willing to do anything to win and to push through their right-wing agenda. One ideology has power over every branch of government, including the Supreme Court, which is supposed to be non-partisan. Those of us who oppose the right wing have done what we can to band together to defeat them, or to at least keep them from doing too much damage. The problem is that so many voters don't seem to care enough to be involved or even vote, and others have simply fallen for the right wing sales pitch. Plus, there are still some questions about the Diebold machines that are used to count the votes. I don't want to believe that this is true, but knowing how ruthless the right can be, it certainly seems possible.
While our side isn't in power in America right now, the impression I get is that the rest of the world tends to side with us (progressives and moderates) and not the far right. What if progressives across the world started an international progressive movement? Maybe other countries could somehow use their influence to keep the right from getting out of control here, and progressives in America could use their influence to help the left in other countries.
