How many dead Americans does it take?

If you're reading this, I hope you're as pissed off as I am. My brother and sister Marines amd other Americans serving in Iraq and Afghanistan have born the brunt of the Bush administration's lies built on 9/11 fear and WMD. It was, in truth, nothing more than blood for Arab oil. The UAE deal is nothing more than a bitch slap in the face. Do you like it?

It's quickly approaching three years since this botched invasion. We looked to the Democratic leadership in Congress to have the courage, conviction and capacity to push for a timely exit strategy. This did not occur. Nor has any meaningful domestic security measures to protect Americans from terrorsits at home. There is no strategy, no ability to increase troop strengths elsewhere and most of the military budget increases is going into R&D to line the pockets of military contractors like Haliburton.

Hundreds of billions have been squandered and tens of thousands of lives and families destroyed, while Osama's capture in Tora Bora failed due to incompetence; body and vehicular armor were unavailable; veterans benefits are cut and our democracy and economy goes into a tail spin, so the GOP and the K Street Project lobbyists and political hacks can go on bilking middle class tax payers and lining pockets of millionaires and big corporations.

Is this family values we have heard so much about? Srcrewing our families out of funds for healthcare, education and jobs?

In short capitalism has hijacked democracy and the value of human life can be measured by how much opposition we exert. I'm disgusted at the whining of the Democrat Conservatives and absence of leadership and the watching of the arm chair quarterback "wanna' be's". It's rewarding to reinforce oneself with like minded folks, but that's not action. You know it!

What did you do today to express your disdain for this administration that reaches other people who have been hypnotized by the media or devolved into complacency? DU and blog sites like it are the first line of defense to our collective consciences.

I need your help to save American lives and find a way, this year, to unite our brave troops with their families. I need your help to find a means to hold this corrupt administration accountable for its disregard for our country's citizens. I need your help to back my candidacy for US Senate and continue our billboard BE Patriotic Impeach Bush campaign.

I need this help in contributions and time. Time to skip CSI, Everybody Loves Raymond or the Discovery Channel and skip a movie and a dinner out and spend a few extra hours doing your part to retake our Democracy. You can blog every web site and ask for the same. Email every person you know and ask them to do the same. Support my candidacy or another progressive federal candidate who has the balls to say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done.

Because this week, there will be more dead and I don't want that on my conscience. Do you?

Our congress critters sure didn't Originally there were around 250 casulties. They spent 6 weeks there. Total troops involved around around 600,000 or more.

Today there are 11,000 troops dead and 518,739 on disability because of the depleted uranium. And * used a whole lot more then in the first invasion. He has literally destroyed the US military, the US treasury, and the Constitution.

They are achieving their agenda. They botched nothing. They want to empty the country, after drawing in as many "evildoers" as possible into the fight, you know, "fight them there so we don't have to fight them here." They are not concerned about gnats like you and me, because they know that they will get away with it.

The Democrats provide no opposition, because they are simply the "Pro-Choice" wing of the Corporate War Party. You can run for Senate as a guy opposed to all this, and all you will do in the short-run is provide entertainment and distraction. One of the rings in the circus. In the long run, you may get the honor of cleaning up after them, while they let you believe that you actually have some "power." They'll still be calling the shots. They will achieve their goal of privatizing and owning everything on the planet. Starting with all that oil.
