Democratic candidate with balls in Transylvania County sheriff's race.

Transylvania County (NC) is Charles Taylor (R-NC) country. Heavy poor, heavy GOP. I glimpsed a political sign on US-178 today touting a Democrat for sheriff. The amazing thing was that the sign read: JOE BLOW, DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR SHERIFF. I barely got his name (it was not Joe Blow). I'll get it tomorrow. Point is, Democrats around here are too scared of the big bad GOP, and the "L-word", to identify themselves with their great party (of the fuckin' people!).
