WASHINGTON, March 3 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Speaker of the House J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) today released the following statement regarding the sentencing of former Representative Randy "Duke" Cunningham:

"The court has handed Congressman Cunningham the punishment for the crimes he committed.
