Taft + Wilson + Kennedy + Nixon = Bush 43 (wingnut math)
What utter BS. Real equation: Moron + Liar + Crook + Arrogant Bastard = Bush 43. Stop glorifying this incompetent idiot.

THE NEW PRESIDENTIAL EQUATION

By David M. Shribman

Taft + Wilson + Kennedy + Nixon = Bush 43. The political calculus is often unpredictable.

Snip...

His supporters and detractors alike argue that the president is 100 percent George W. Bush. But I am coming to the conclusion that he is one part William Howard Taft, one part Woodrow Wilson, one part John F. Kennedy and one part Richard M. Nixon. Here are the raw materials of the diplomatic Bush:

Dollar diplomacy. This was Taft's approach to foreign policy,...

Snip...

Self-determination. This principle, so shiny in its idealism during the World War I years, was at the heart of Wilson's Fourteen Points...

Snip...

Bear any burden. President Kennedy's inaugural address is remembered for its soaring, poetic language and for its invitation for Americans to ask what they could do for their country. ...

Vietnamization. President Nixon did not invent the Vietnam War, he merely inherited it. It is possible to argue that President Bush didn't invent a crisis in Iraq, he merely inherited one. ...

3. This is just another math fallacy. Proof that 2 = 1:
Let a=b.
Then a^2 = a*b

add a^2 to both sides

a^2 + a^2 = a^2 + a*b

2*a^2 = a^2 + a*b

subtract 2*a*b from both sides

2*a^2 - 2*a*b = a^2 + a*b - 2*a*b

2*a^2 - 2*a*b = a^2 - a*b

2* (a^2 - a*b) = 1* (a^2 - a*b)

Divide both sides by (a^2 - a*b)

2 = 1.

see below why this isn't quite right.

when you divide by zero odd things can happen. Hey, our zero president is a divider isn't he?

BTW, (a^2 - a*b) = 0

7. Nice one but I like this one too
Start with x^2. x^2 can be thought of as x*x. x*x can be thought of as x + x + x + x etc for a total of x times. Thus

x^2 = x + x + x x times.

By differentition
2x = 1 + 1 + 1 x times which is x
Thus 2x=x and 2 = 1.

The problem here of course is that times can't be thought of the way I expressed it for all x.

4. No, Bush created a crisis in Iraq
Edited on Sat Mar-04-06 10:29 PM by Hippo_Tron
Poppy and Clinton did a fine job of making sure that Saddam Hussein's regime was in absolute shambles and not a threat to the US or anyone else in the region. Bush went in and started a civil war and put our troops in the middle of it.

Now, if Kerry had become president, that would be an example of a president inheriting a crisis.

8. He is the anti Kennedy
Kennedy told us we would have to bear burdens to defend the country, Bush tells us to shop.
