I don't want Bush to be the focus for Democrats
He's toast. I want Democrats to focus on GOP corruption, the huge deficit which future generations of Americans will be dealing with for decades to come, the failed Iraq war, and the fact that the GOP has had control of Congress for 12 years and total control of the government for the last 5 years. There is no one to blame for the direction our country has gone except for the GOP.

Beating one man will not turn our country around. We need to beat the whole GOP. We can do it but we need to make sure the message gets out. Change the Course- Vote Democratic.

1. It's the whole GOP mindset we should focus on.......
.....and get rid of. I hate everything the GOP stands for and believes in.

The rest is all inside that statement

3. I think Bush should be the focus for Democrats in so much as
every single Republican should be tied to him, at every chance possible. They have marched lock step with "Dear Leader" for five years now, and as the American people begin to abandon Bush, they need to be reminded of that fact.

7. If we are going to have a chance against R incumbents, that's the only
strategy that will work.

Note that many are running away from him now. Rove's threat that if they allow an investigation into Dubai ports deal, W may not campaign for them, may be just what the doctor ordered for many.

Even here in AZ, one of our R incumbent senators is actively trying to tear himself away--but is failing to do so.

5. Positive agenda needed
Every candidate for office needs to be able to answer the Roger Mudd question - "Why do you want to be President/Senator/representive?"

6. I understand your point, but beating the GOP is a long-term strategy.

Tying Republican candidates, especially incumbents, as closely to W as possible is a message easily understood by the general public.

Even an R incumbent senator, John Kyl, here in AZ is vulnerable by virtue of his rubber-stamp behavior. I never thought I'd see the day when an R incumbent was vulnerable here, but it's happening--and most of it is because of W.

8. Tying to Bush is a short term strategy
Bush will be gone in 2008. Tying the GOP to failed policies, out of control deficits, and ongoing corruption scandals is long term. If we can win a majority in Congress, we can push forward investigations into Bush AND dozens of corrupt Republicans.

9. Do both
DO NOT LET THIS PRESIDENT OFF THE HOOK... DO NOT EASE UP ON HIM AT ALL. But rather go after them all and keep them linked together. Don't let any of them get away without being accountable.
