Everybody needs to be much , much more aggressive for the truth...
The General that is the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said on MTP this morning that the war in Iraq was going very, very well. Huh? How could anyone say such crap and not be challenged or laughed out of the house? It is these types of "lies" are slipping by the American people. The Democrats, the media, and all of America needs to be much more aggressive in challenging these comments from those in power. This Administration has been permitted to lie with impunity. And they have done it with malice aforethought and have attempted to conceal and hide the truth under the cloak of secrecy.

2. I Agree, and On a Personal Level as Well
A friend of mine who's a minister & a repuke was saying nobody was tortured, that's right NOBODY. I said "OK, bring your son over to my house this weekend for some anal-raping, dog attacks and waterboarding and we'll just call it a prank"!

He walked off shaking his head like I was a problem. GOD DAMN right I'm a problem! Everybody should be a great big problem for the people that support these war crimes.

Also, the other day on DU somebody posted they had just returned from Fallujah and that everything was going great there. It took about 30 replies before people started calling him on it.

5. I've said it before (many times), and I'll say it again . . .
the way for the Democrats to start winning again it to promise to tell the truth -- about everything -- and then do it . . . no matter how uncomfortable or how painful the truth may be . . .

because you cannot possibly solve a problem until you acknowledge the truth about its nature and its causes . . . whether it's the war, 9/11, healthcare, depleted uranium weapons, Katrina, whatever . . . until someone starts telling Americans the truth, we'll never get to the bottom of any of these issues or construct intelligent approaches to their solutions . . .
