I think Rove may have finally screwed up
If he'd withdrawn the troops a year ago, they could have claimed victory. Now only the most deluded Limbeciles woud believe that. Withdrawal now would be seen, correctly, as cutting our losses in the biggest financial, diplomatic, and military debacle in our 230 years history. It would be laughable except for all the dead people.

3. Even 3/4 of the military want us out.
Everybody would pat the Admin on the back for facing reality -- once the withdrawal is complete, then they'd face the full shame and villification.

6. They're so determined to eke out some kind of victory...
even though everyone else on the planet knows there's not going to be one, that they'll risk the futures of Iraq and the United States on it. This is what is in charge of our government. Lord Help Us! :scared: :scared: :scared:

4. Hmm, try this:
Victory with honor.
Withdrawing, with mission accomplished.
Saddam is all we ever really wanted.
Al Qaida has been eradicated.
We are proud of our success. It's up to them now.
It is a democracy. We won.
There is no civil war. It is merely a few sectarian hotheads. Think Detroit gangs.
Success is there, but for the traitorous media lying to the American people.
A stunning success, with democracy spreading throughout the ME.
Israel told us we could leave.

5. I just read ...
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 12:31 PM by Maat
"The Rise and Rise of Richard B. Cheney," by John Nichols (don't get it if you want to continue sleeping at night).

It was Cheney who RELENTLESSLY pushed for this INVASION, and, since he is a PIT BULL (and one who doesn't listen), he is the one who was/is determined to control the world, and the one that screwed up royally.

The book is very enlightening; Cheney NEVER lets facts get in the way of his goal. He seems separated from the reality of most folks on Planet Earth, however.

One thing that becomes clear reading the book, he loathed Paul Wellstone and Paul's populism (caring for the People).

9. Impeachment is a long shot, IMO
if we can disable his disastrous agenda, it might be better to have his stench clinging to the GOP in 2008 anyway.

10. One way to look at it
Besides, the Veep (whoever that might be by then) could be worse. I certainly wouldn't want to promote Cheney.
