A " Vote Dem" Video with National potential?

This Video was sent to us at CA DFA from Rowley's campaign, and I like it; there's a move afoot to send it nationwide and kick it up to televised status.

In Calif. several DLC members who I have nothing but respect for -they are hard working and rubber meets the road types, including our Chair- have expressed the usual hesitance to call Bush out in this manner.

I see their logic , it's a now well-known argument regarding the thrust and context of the 2006 campaign. It's not without it's merits.

So, to you DUers , I ask, what do you think?
and PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't make this a DLC bashing thread. Accept that they have a different view, move past it, they are still Dems fer chrissakes, and get to the meat of the request:

to stop hesitating to tell the truth? What the heck is everyone waiting for? The video has the ability to make a visceral connection with an increasingly disgruntled public. Isn't it about time to stand up to the schoolyard bullies?

I think it is a good add that should go national. At the very least it will help to put whats going on right now into historical context. The music even makes you feel depressed about the bush/rethug government. It's like a rethug propaganda tv ad but true!

I hope more Duers take a look at this .

I thought there might be some criticism, but maybe it IS spot on......

It makes the point without overstating it. It's not us bashing b*sh.. It's his own actions bashing him.

Maybe that will assuage the DLC guys that we're not REALLY attacking, just letting Bush's record speak for itself.

I loved it. Both the music and the images are powerful. However, for tv and the general pop, I'm not so sure. Seems that one or the other would need to be more gripping.

I can't tell if that's my impression because we just don't *see* much broadcast that's thoughtful, or if it's a requirement. It could be perceived as funereal, rather than stirring. Maybe it's unnecessary pandering - maybe people are just waiting for this kind of thing, but with the viewer needing to pay close attn to the visuals for their full impact, a bolder score might be advised.
