I have concluded: There already is a big Third Party.
Listening to the radio today it occured to me. There already is a new, powerful, 3rd party in the USA. It's the NeoCon Party. It has most of the Republicans in thrall. It has some of the Democrats.

The fact they are not an openly announced party works in their favor. They can do as they wish, and blame it either on those confounded 'libruls' or warmongering 'wingnuts', as best suits them. And, while 'libruls' and 'wingnuts' fight amongst themselves, the NeoCons march on.

So, the issue is, who are the members of the NeoCon Party? "Rep" and "Dem" alike. How do we identify them? How do we alert others to their true nature? How do we defeat them?

1. The ones who vote for corporate interests over the People's interests
are the neo-cons. Doesn't matter what letter is after their name.

2. Precisely.
It truly is Us vs Them. But the NeoCons have never come out and declared themselves. They mascarade as Republicans or Democrats, while in truth they are neither.

5. Then there is an even bigger fourth party!
Thats talks but does nothing! Otherwise we couldn't have these dismal turnouts. We need to all start taking personal responsibility for taking four people that we serious doubt would otherwise vote and get them registered and then get them to their polling place, do everything up to voting for them.

A lot of work? Maybe. Worth it for democracy? You tell me! It is the only way we have to be sure.

6. That's right!
50% percent of the eligible voters don't.

I'm going to have a tougher time finding them here in OR, where only 30% don't vote. :)

3. The opposite could be true, too.
Seems to me a lot, too many, some dems said nothing about this war to date.

Some conservatives spoke against it, though.

I'd vote for conservatives that had the balls to speak against this war before I'd EVER vote for anyone that condoned it, dem or repub.

It really is about the "Stupid War" - It really is,

Joe
