Between now and the 2006 elections, how likely is a terrorist attack or even a warning of one?

Discuss.

4. The Bush Administration is an ongoing Terrorist Attack on
the Constitution ! So between now and the '06 elections, we need to drive that point home and bring back balance in the government. How's that? :patriot:

7. The GOP lost all credibility on "terra"
after they screwed up Katrina so completely.

I am a veteran of the United States Coast Guard; served in Port Security in the Port of New Orleans, LA. My wife taught school in the Lower Ninth Ward while we were there.

I am a Red Cross Disaster Assistance Team Captain/Instructor and Mass Sheltering Supervisor. I am a CitizensCorps Neighborhood Captain. I am a CitizensCorps Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service HAM Radio Operator (Extra Class License).

I think I know more about Disaster Response then Brown or Chertoff.

9. It's designed to invoke fear.
The Republicans seem to think Dim Son's first term started 9/12/01.

They seem to forget he failed America miserably on 9/11/06.

11. If we do have an attack, then I personally know that our own government
was involved in allowing it to happen. It would be allowed to happen for spite due to the loss of the Dubai business deal. We can all agree as far as how spiteful this administration and Republicans in general are. It would be allowed to happen to show us, the People of this country, by our own shadow government that STILL exists) and most certainly to show us just how wrong we can be by not allowing one of our supposed allies, who happens to be a small Arab country, that we should not be so judgmental. Of course, it will happen through our ports just to show that even if an ally Arab country does not control any part of any of our ports, we can still be attacked. I just pray they do not allow it to be a severe attack.

However, since we have not had an attack, my thinking has been this for a while. As long as we have troops in Iraq, they will not attack this country. The terrorist's goal is to kill Americans, so what BETTER Americans to kill then our young men and women who were sent into harm's way by a bunch of men and women who had the power but knew it would not affect them or their families (as far as any danger). I know that sounds perverse; however, I really think that is why there has not been an attack on our homeland since we attacked Iraq.

Cheney's BS about how it has not just been coincidental is exactly that, BS.

They are getting all the training they need since our invasion of Iraq. They are using our troops to train to fight as well as our own weapons against them. If they can get at least one American Soldier a day, they have achieved a goal. By sending our troops over there, Bush has provided Al Quaida with the best training for urban warfare as well as training an army that is mostly made up of the resistance. The new Iraqi Army are biding their time. Once they reach the numbers where they feel they can succeed, they are all going to join together (Sunni, Shiite, Wahabee, and possibly Kurd), along with the army that our soldiers provided with the best training in the World as well as using our own weapons and our weaknesses (if any).

If they do not start removing our young men and women from Iraq soon, once the resistance feels they have enough to overtake the Americans and Brits, they are going to slaughter the very people who "thought" they were helping them by training them, giving them money to care for their families, and provided them with uniforms and weapons.

What I stated above you can think is a bunch of BS from a conspiracy nut; however, I happened upon a chat room where there were Muslims, Christians, and Jews chatting. It was moving so fast I could not keep up. The hate that came across that chat room was unbelievable. Anyway, I asked anyone who was a true Muslim to IM me as I had a question. Well he answered my question, then he told me what I have posted above about the resistance. He claimed to be Iranian and claimed to cross the border continuously. Now I know in chat rooms as well as boards, people claim to be someone else, so it could all be a bunch of lies (I hope they were lies); however, it did kind of make sense in a way. After that last truckload of Iraqi Soldiers was stopped and slaughtered, they have not had any major attack against them as they now agree with the resistance to let the stupid Americans train them, give them food and weapons. They believe their so-called Civil War that the U.S. seems so worried about will not be a Civil War at all. It will be ten times the number of men attacking our soldiers all at the same time. A day he thought would be soon. I asked him how old he was and he claimed he was 22.

I remember when Bush 41 sent our troops over there in 90-91. I remember all the scud missiles, Patriot Missiles, missiles, missiles, missiles. They would talk on the news about how the military would never be in hand-to-hand combat anymore due to the amazing technology that we had. Also, when we went into the Balkans, not one soldier died . . .Clinton bombed, bombed, bombed. After those two conflicts, and with the only deaths of our soldiers caused by friendly fire, who would have thought that our troops would be going through what they are now?

Cheney, Bush, Rumsfield need to bring our troops home N-O-W before we cannot get them out at all.
