My e-mail to Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI)
I just sent a great e-mail to Feingold, here it is:

Dear Senator Feingold,

My name is Bradley Minoski, i'm 18 and a Democrat from Pennsylvania

I am writing this e-mail to say thank you for what you did in the Senate yesturday on proposing censure on President Bush for the illegal NSA wiretapping program. It's about time someone stood up on the Senate floor and told the President that be broke the law and must be accounted for his actions, that he broke the law and must be punished and that person is you.

Although censure is not impeachment it's the next best thing cause by passing censure it shows that Congress has condemned The President for his actions and when The Legislative Branch(the branch The President basically answers to) turns on you it makes The President look like a lame duck.

You are a true hero Senator Feingold, you are a hero and a patriot for the great job you've been doing in Washington, you are a Senator who is truely looking out for the best interests of the American people. You have been an outspoken in the war in Iraq in bringing home our troops. The USA Patriot Act and how you lead the way in attempting to filibuster the act that will take our civil liberties away from us, you lead the charge for this cause you care that every single American doesn't have there rights taken away like there right to privacy.

And most important, Samuel Alito. You were one of the few Democrats in the Senate who voted to block Judge Samuel Alito from stepping one foot into the Supreme Court cause you believe that Judge Alito was a threat on the bench especially on Abortion and when half of the Senate Democrats did not support filibuster you stood up and did the right thing for the American people by supporting the filibuster.

So thank you Senator Feingold, Thank you for being one of the few Democrats in Washington that is a "True Democrat" by not backing down from fights and doing what is best for the American people by standing up for what is right. I heard you want to run for President in 2008, well I can assure your that if your still in the running by the time the Pennsylvanis primary comes around, you'll definately get my vote cause a vote for Feingold is a vote to get America back on the right track.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Bradley Minoski

2. What a great letter, and I totally concur
This is the kind of person we need for president. The sad thing about it is, the democrats are
beginning to distance themselves from him on this matter. What will it take for the demos to speak for us. Bush is a dangerous man, and he needs to be put in his place.

From now on, when I get letter or a request for a donation for the democratic party, I'm going to return it and tell them not to contact me again until they can start standing up for me.

Thanks for posting your letter, and I want you to know you're one to be proud of.

:toast:

5. He is THE ONE person on Capitol Hill who I trust...

... will do the right things for giving us the right leadership to put the following legislation in place, if we can get him into the White House in 2008!

1) Public Financing of elections at a national level.
2) Protecting our civil liberties more explicitly and put in *PRACTICAL* means of
fighting terrorism instead of those taking away our rights that the Patriot Act is doing.
3) Help congress craft explicit legislation/constitutional ammendments protecting women's rights to choose.
4) Getting us out of Iraq and re-engaging diplomacy with the rest of the world!
5) Correct the problems with media consolidation with a revamped FCC and bring back the Fairness Doctrine (or at least an updated version of it for the newer media). He was one of the few to vote against the Telecomm Act back in the 1990's that created the media mess we have now.
6) Put in pragmatic means to prevent wholesale outsourcing of the middle class jobs.
7) Work with congress to put in CORRECTIVE tax redistribution to account for the wholesale rape of the middle class over the last 20 years.
8) Work with congress to make some explicit legislation to clarify that corporations DO NOT have the rights of corporate personhood that judicial activism has allowed them to obtain over the last century.
9) Get some decent guarantees for Health Care coverage for everyone.
10) Restore bankruptcy protection for those who need it (health emergencies, etc.).

I can see him taking leadership on all of these. It would then be time for the corporations to answer to us, instead of the other way around. Too many other that would run for the Democratic slot would still not take the necessary steps to take back power from the corporations that are controlling this country now.
