Is there any way we can withhold their paychecks....
For not doing their jobs? For lack of effort? For being intimidated and fearful of the opposition? It is we that pay them. We know they need their paychecks just the same as the rest of us. But, if we don't produce, we are fired. We expect a certain degree of performance from those that are employed by us. Just something to think about.

1. Yes this goes for all elected reps of all parties and branches
We the taxpayers, you know 'the people' elect and pay these people to perform. They don't perform very well. The majority of them are taking us for a ride.

2. ROFL
You're talking about people who vote THEMSELVES their pay raises. We can't even adjust their pay based on merit.

We're the rabble, after all. We may pay their checks, but so do people who AGREE with what they're doing.

4. Nope
The emolument process for the federal government was made entirely independent by the Constitution pretty much for that reason. They didn't want witholding pay to be used as a tool for retribution.

Sucks, but that's the way it is.

5. One way-vote them out of office
I'm sick and tired of Dems acting like spineless chickens. Harry S Truman would be ashamed, Speaker Sam Rayburn would be cussing, and LBJ would be putting on his boots to kick some backsides, I think.
