Called Reid's office about censure...
Staffer basically said that Reid 'needs to study the resolution' - blah blah blah... was worried about the political fallout...blah blah blah

I told him the PResident of the USA violated the law and that he better support the censure.

I really think we, as Democrats and citizens, are on our own.

6. I am at a point where I am sick of these gutless Democrats in office.
When I go to the voting booth - I will vote for the person who has a backbone (but NEVER a Republican).

I want a person, like Feingold, who stands up speaks his mind - especially in this case where the president is a criminal.

2. You're right
It seems like the divide in this party gets larger by the day.

3. I've rhetorically posed this question a number of times, but
it's becoming more and more puzzling. What are our representatives waiting for??? Hell to freeze over? For the life of me, I can't see any reason not to take a stand against this administration and its minions.

As I see it, the lot of Democrats in office have nothing to lose, and at the very least, self-respect to gain. From the outside looking in, they appear to be content to remain rooted to the dock, trembling in fear, while the ship of opportunity sails off into the sunset.

9. Something such as a censure must be well organized.
It should have been discussed, planned, organized within the party. From what I can gather, Feingold never informed anyone he was going to do this until on a Sunday talk show. He didn't distribute copies for consideration. He just "sprung it on everyone".

IMO, that is not the proper, effective way to handle such things. IMO, it causes him to look knee jerk and disorganized. How could you expect everyone to just jump on the bandwagon without having a chance to study his proposal?

I whole heartedly agree that something must be done about this administration. I vote for Impeachment. But, it must be done properly or it is all for naught.

10. I agree with you to a point...
Maybe he did try to organize and the pink tu-tu Dems did not respond. Maybe he had to go at this alone because he knows he is right.

You know, you do not need permission to do the right thing. This president violated the law - pure and simple. And a Censure is nothing more than a hand slap. What on earth do the Dems have to worry on this. At least this shows that the Democratic party upholds the rule of law....

11. Reid's aide said that? Those words?
Political fall-out? If that aide actually said those words, they should be fired. That shows no loyalty.

12. The staffer might actually have said 'ramifications'..
but clearly to me it was about the political nature of his (Reid's) decision to back or not to back Feingold.

I would have so much appreciated hearing a simply 'yes Reid supports Feingold' but he did not say that.
