Wrote my first angry letter to the DNC today..
They (well, Howard, actually) sent me a request that I join in a petition campaign to chastise some Republican bozo for calling Feingold a traitor. (His
censure motion, dontcha know.) I wrote back that I was a lifelong Democratic and an eight year committperson in my ward, and I'd be damned if I'd
bother to chastise some Republican as long as the Democrats in Congress refuse to support Feingold's censure motion. Tell them to grow a collective spine, I said. Then we can talk.
I haven't received a reply.

Gee. I don't even feel guilty.

1. Don't feel guilty...
You expressed what you thought/felt, and many other dems feel the same way. Don't be hard on yourself, and good reply.

2. I got a call asking for money this morning from DNC
I told them not to call me anymore.

I will choose where i spend my money. I will give to individuals I feel are worthy candidates. And I'll be darned if I let them spend my money on Cantwell.

3. I was going to respond....
but then I realized it would not matter at all.

I guess it makes everyone feel good to hurt the one part of the party bringing change.

So be it.

4. Hey, DNC!
This a call to action coming from the bottom, up. There are millions of us on these boards that are ANGRY. All we want is some backbone and some organization, and an end to the cannibalization we get subjected to by our own party members on TV.

Hello? Do you hear us? HELLO???

5. I'm floored by the ignorance
in these threads attacking the DNC. MadFloridian is tired of responding so I'll do it- again.

The DNC Chair is not a policy position. Dean CANNOT get into the middle of an issue being discussed by Senate dems. His job is to build the party, raise money, criticize repukes and get dems elected. That means that when Ben Nelson, hated DINO from Nebraska wins the primary, Dean will support him. That's his job. To support all the dems. He won't take a position pre-primary. He can't. And he's not the Senate MInority Leader, so he can't tell dem senators to grow a spine, or support Russ, or anything else. Really, folks, this isn't rocket science.

6. Great job!
Interesting that you aim your ire at the DNC who h as no control over what the Senators do. And we wonder why we can't get anywhere!

Tomorrow maybe I will write to the commerce dept to complain about the pothole in my road.

7. Take it up with the DSCC and the DCCC
They have the contact with the Dem Senators and Members of Congress. Not the DNC.

Everyone who withholds donations to the DNC is depriving state parties of needed funds to fight this campaign on the streets where the grassroots count!
