1. There is a definite bush backlash in the Big Easy.......
this years Mardi Gras revelers pretty much had a common theme.....anti bush. My favorites were the group of people in giant condom costumes.....labeled, "Cheney", "Brownie", "Bush" etc. I was there for 2 weeks and I did not once see anything in support of the bush administration. How he found people to pose with him for his photo-ops there is beyond me. He certainly could never walk the streets alone, unguarded there or anywhere else in the country for that matter. I wonder how it feels to be the world's most hated person? I must suck to be bush.

8. I am a New Orleanian
and yes, there is a Bush backlash. There's a lovely home near Tulane University; it's my Powerball Fantasy House. The occupants are older people who drive big, muscular GM's, usually with Republican bumper stickers on them. They had Bush/Cheney '04 stickers on their cars pre-Katrina. Not anymore. There are tell-tale signs of scrapage on their bumpers. Better late than never.

2. "Bush-Be-Gone" sounds like a good idea.
It should come in a handy aerosol can.

13. Lots of young people, which is a very good thing. Maybe in the
next election(s) they'll actually get out and vote.
