Bush: "Our good economy is a result of the hard work of American people...
......and good policies in Washington. So I'm going to continue to work to make my tax cuts permanent..."

Talking about how the economy and the job market is the best since the 70s, how we've added 5 million jobs, etc. etc. etc.

He also looks really pissed off about having to give another stump speech. He's really got the look of contempt this morning.

...he's reading his script like a laundry list and punctuating the end of each sentence with more of a sneer than his trademark smirk, but it all seems like an extension of yesterday's "why can't you see what I see" rhetoric.

People can't see the great economy because they're working two or more jobs to barely support their families. They're not dancing in the streets over the millions of new jobs because a "former" IT professional can't survive on a Wal-Mart job with no medical benefits. Oh, and while you're applauding the unemployment rate, don't forget the people who are no longer being counted and simply gave up.

People can't see the progress in Iraq because when you mention how the "coalition drove the terrorists out" of a town that 99.9% of Americans have never heard of, they don't care...and you didn't say where they went after you "drove them out," so if they just went into the next town, you haven't really "driven them out of Iraq"...have you?

Whatta train wreck of a "speech."

:patriot:
