The GOP - you gotta hand it to them!
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 12:18 AM by pirhana
I decided a few days ago to sign up to GOP.com
just to stand up for the dem bashing.
Ya - you could say I wanna be a freeper ( a demeeper? )

After getting Russ' email about the attack ad on him, I decided to log in
and defend Russ.

Lo and behold! Even tho I was confirmed days ago, they didn't recognize my sign in.
I went back thru my email, and nothing. Not even in 'trash'
NSA? Did they figure out I was a dem? Dummy me - I used Pirhana as my name.
So, I just re-joined, using a different email address, and changed my name. And signed in.

Guess what I was greeted with???
http://www.gop.com/GetActive/CallTalkRadio.aspx

I'll save you the pain of signing in.
They provided me with every phone number of every RW talk show in my state.
The email address of every newspaper.
AND A TALKING POINT ON EVERY SINGLE SUBJECT UNDER THE SUN

We are the ones with the brains; why aren't we as together as this?
Why don't we offer our talking points, our 10 points? Our message?
They make it so easy for their followers. You could say that dems are capable of thinking for
ourselves, BUT face it. Some of us work, have kids, have a busy life. Wouldn't it be
helpful if the Democrats handed it's followers everything they needed to be an activist on
a silver platter, like they do?

We need to be better than them if we wanna win.

Okay - off to defend Russ.....

1. I read awhile back
that they actually have a website where you enter in your info and zip code, and they actually send a LTE in your name for you.

You must, of course, check your brain at the door.

3. I agree with the brain comment BUT
why would it be a bad thing if we did some of these things
for our party?

4. You have to work extra hard to get out a shitty message.
However in the case of Dems, they have a ways to go in terms of making the efforts. But at least the DNC is making some progress.

7. demeeper? - I perfer DUmster - as in we dump all over them
The GOP can seem pretty organized at times, but then again so were the Nazis & Maoist. Move On seems to be the best answer to them right now. The GOP hate them so they must be doing something right. They are going to try to make it harder for folks to donate large $$$ to those groups.

9. But would we be a stronger party
if we had a place on the internets
that made it easier to be an activist?

I told them my state when I joined,
and they gave me a list of every talk show, phone #, email address.
All the newspapers in the state. Talking points.
It really pissed me off because they had that, we don't :P

When I need an answer, I log on to DU
and my questions are answered in minutes. But that's me.
What about Suzie democrat that lives down the street that
barely has time to get online, and only does so when there
are hot topic issues going on?

All I am asking is why doesn't this party have that?
