Now isn't this sweet Help the Homeless, quit feeding them!?...

This trick isn't new. The homeless come to the center of town because thats where the food is. These people are herding the homeless they're not helping them. They just got tired of looking at them, so maybe if they quit feeding them they'll go away...

WILMINGTON -- Wilmington City leaders call it a short-term solution to a long-term problem. They approved a proposal Tuesday that bans feeding homeless people in the downtown area.

City leaders say it's not about not helping the homeless. With this resolution passing they're hoping to work more closely with agencies that help feed the homeless. Part of this resolution is to bring those agencies and city departments closer together. In developing this idea staff members talked to six community groups that currently do help the homeless.

Leaders are developing what they call a 10-year plan to end homelessness. Council members said they aren't trying to punish homeless people, but instead, making sure they are getting the best help they can get.

We're this compassion we've been hearing about? I see NO evidence of it.

The best plan I ever heard of was tokens that you could buy at any store, that could only be redeemed for food or shelter by the person who tries to use them.

Not that homeless people don't deserve the occasional beer like the rest of us...

Stop giving them fish, and sooner or later they'll drop dead of starvation. Problem solved. :sarcasm:
