Favorite blogs and news sources?
If you had time to go to only one lefty blog each day, which would it be?

Where do you go for a quick blast of the day's news?

What blogger makes you laugh?

Who do you think writes the best long-form content?

Do you have any favorite, little-known resources for finding political info?

Are there any obscure bloggers that are among your favorites?

I ask as a new blogger looking to make sure I'm getting the best info as fast as possible and that I'm blogrolling the most useful and interesting sites.

Thanks,
Vast Left

1. Anyone have favorites to share?
My two cents on this:

For longform, I like firedoglake (especially Jane Hamsher -- she just keeps cranking out insightful, well-written stuff) and digby's hullabaloo. For quick hits, I like The Sideshow and Atrios/Eschaton. Other good sites are Shakespeare's Sister, World O'Crap, and Sadly, No!

3. My list of daily must reads...
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 09:22 AM by nickshepDEM
The Wall Street Journal is delivered to my house daily. I use this for financial news.

Internet:
-Baltimore Sun
-Swing State Project
-The Hedgehog Report
-Bull Moose

Local:
-http://www.dundalkeagle.com/">Dundalk Eagle

Im thinking about subscribing to Kiplinger's Personal Finance (magazine).

If I could only visit one site per day, it would be -The Hedgehog Report, mostly because Im a poll junkie and David Wissing posts the latest polls before they are even released.

6. Very interesting...

Unlike with a typical news-link / opinion blog, I couldn't help wondering about the source of the election analysis (methodology, ideology, etc.). Is that documented anywhere?

8. not sure
I am not sure if that is posted anywhere on the site. My suggestion is to leave a comment for the site owner, he has answered my questions before.
