That is true.
How much longer?
How much longer before we see change?
Will the Dems be able to overcome Repub redistricting/ gerrymandering, in this year's elections?

I get a nagging sense that, with such few "open" seats, this year will be very difficult for the Dems to take back the House or Senate.
I get the nagging sense that if they don't then the "librul media" will downplay the redistricting advantage, the Repubs have set in motion, and beat the drum for the "Dems are weak" mantra.

Just a sickening hunch.
Am I being too pessimistic?

OK, Bush finally fessed up: U.S. troops are going to be in Iraq after he’s out of the Oval Office, a day that can’t come soon enough.

At his press conference on Tuesday, Bush let slip that it’s going to be up to “future Presidents” to decide when all the troops can come home.

ALL the troops will be home at a certain point in time.

History teaches us that never happens.

Bosnia, Korea, Germany, Japan, etc.

Once our boot print hits the ground. we always stay around in some form or fashion.

At least bush was honest about it. He probably felt funny telling the truth for once.

The victor sets the terms.

We lost.

If you think for a moment Iraq will be another Vietnam type defeat. I think you seriously underestimate this administration.

The North Vietnamese had a government backing it and the peoples supporting it. There is a big difference between what is happening in Iraq and what happened in Vietnam. The press are pretty much morons not to understand that.

One word I never said.

What I said Iraq was a different type of war than Nam was. Which by almost every type of measure you want to use, it is.

Did we "win" in Bosnia?

The people that don't vote are our people. We need to get those people registered and to the polls to vote! If each one of US commits to get ten of THEM to the polls on election day we will win going away!
