Great new GOP trend - Hiding behind a woman's skirt
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 12:36 PM by Jeffersons Ghost

Placing emphasis on "CHICKEN" in their Chicken-hawk approach, Republicans show how brave they are during war-time.

The trend began with Cheney hiding behind the skirts of Katharine Armstrong to conceal his drunkenness after the alleged "accident."

Now the president allows the only truly popular GOPer, his wife Laura, explain Iraq and Afghanistan to America. She claims the people of Afghanistan "appreciate" the U.S. loss of life and money.

Certainly the Afghan War Lords appreciate not only more power but also more income as a result of House, Senate and Administrative efforts to protect them in an attempt bring some semblance of stability to the region. Guess how an Afghan War-Lord makes his money? Maybe more affordable HEROIN on the streets of America will reduce violent crime here at home but it usually only results in more death from overdoses.

To explain that an almost 24-hour delay in issuing a statement on the shooting was intentional, necessary and in the interest of national security, Bush said it is "something those wussy Democrats don't understand."

Well Mr Nero-bush, we "wussy" Democrats understand this:

When a brave Silver Star winner named John Kerry was attacked by a man now being sentenced for his criminal misconduct, he didn't run to his wife asking her to issue a statement. Kerry stood tall under fire, just like he did in Nam.

When rank and file chicken-hawks attacked Al Gore for his speech condemning wire-tapping, he didn't feel the need to cower behind his wife, as fools called him a "traitor."

As for Russ Feingold, he doesn't even have a wife, but if he's elected, you can bet he won't be hiding behind the First Girl-Friend. Russ has consistently shown courage in the face of insurmountable odds as he attempts to protect our Bill of Rights.

All the Bush sons hide behind Momma Barbara's iron-lined skirt!!!

Actually she is a three-boobed woman. They forgot to add Neal to this poster which I took a picture of during the protest during the NYC Repuke convention.

5. I was telling my SO about Babs charitable contribution to son
Neil's software company. He said he didn't remember there was a 3rd son. I told him that's because Neil keeps a low profile (1) because he's a nimrod, and (2) he was deeply involved in the S and L scandal.

12. There's a 4th son as well...
...Marvin Bush. I believe his company was in charge of security at WTC on 9/11.

And there is a daughter also, married with children. Quite a large clan, actually.

3. Good call, JG!
And let's not forget the most blatant demonstration of the trend in recent months: Mrs. Alito.

If you're getting pummelled with hard-ball questions in a hearing, be sure your wife is prominently on-camera, where everyone can watch her cry hysterically on-cue.

In the interest of fairness, no democrat has shown the courage to hold the position of HEAD cheerleader at an all boy's school like the presidential bush.

8. Yes, we should give credit where it's due ...
So I guess Bush doesn't really need to hide behind Laura's skirts -- he can hide behind his own.

Good one nance! I wonder if the cheerleader-in-chief expanded the meaning of the term "head."

LOOK! It's a dressed-to-please barbie-bush! I wonder if she comes with knee-pads.

15. Ouch! Brklynliberal nothing funny about that!
Whenever I believe Nero-bush can sink no lower, I find a new bottom. Current leadership is amazing in discovering new depths to sink beneath in their quest for darker jewels to fill an unholy grail. That link is well worth reading, thanks.

21. here's something genuine.... no retouching of photos with these!
True love is always genuine...

Genuine when they first held hands...

Genuine when they first looked deeply into each others eyes...

and last but not least, genuine when they kissed.

24. catch her on Larry King?
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 04:00 PM by radfringe
my partner was the one who picked up on this --

channel surfing last night, paused on CNN to read a news crawler, and there was the puff-commerical about Laura being on Larry King

my partner says "I was wondering they when they would drag her out."

me: huh?

partner: you haven't noticed? WOW - I figured something out before you? <chuckle> bush is in trouble, he goes out and makes a bunch of appearances, then cheney crawls out of his bunker, does the same and if bush's numbers don't improve they dress up Laura and put her on some interview show. Sometimes they do a Ken&Barbie routine with both her and bush, mostly it's just Laura because people like Laura and think gee, she's such a nice person. bush's numbers get a bump.

Here's a fresh graphic for you
