Gingrich to Dems - Your slogan for 2006: "Had enough?"

But do the Dems have the cojones to pick up this ball and run with it ??

Darn tootin' we have.

and can be adapted to all the things wrong with this junta:

"Have you had enough of the war?"

"Have you had enough of high gas prices?"

"Have you had enough of the Republican Medicare plan?"

"Have you had enough of the lies?"


One could go on and on and on.......

Which, for some odd reason doesn't seem to go over well with a large number of voters. It seems to me it's a perfectly valid argument/reason, but they want more. That shouldn't be a problem because we do offer more, much more... indeed, much, much more. However, it seems that we have grave difficulties expressing what that is.

Forever stuck in humdrum language and apparently lacking passion, our elected leaders seem unable to even take advantage of the fact that the Rethugs have provided them with more 'ammunition' than was used in IRAQ (or any war for that matter). They act scared... scared to speak up, scared to offend the powers that be, scared of the boogie man, I don't know; they just seem timid. Not being a politician, I can't even imagine (apparently) what they're facing--maybe hiding under a rock is good strategy--it just seems to me that it's the worst possible approach, and besides, except for the natural failures and inevitable catastrophies resulting from Rethug 'leadership' (which isn't something Dems can take credit for--though the Rethugs will probably try to blame them for it anyway), it isn't working. It's foolish to keep trying the same thing and expecting different results.

We need some good old-fashioned aggression; at least a real appearance of passion and determination. Our party's image has become so wimpy that the notion that Dems couldn't protect the country from terrorists (or whatever)--which is a specious and simply false notion--begins to seem consistent. Our leaders need some real public image advice...

Whether we can produce an appealing expression of our vision or not--unless the Rethugs can clean up their act in the next seven months--we may win in spite of ourselves.

come up with. I've felt for a long time that our party needed its own Newt Gingrich. He's an asshole, but was a pretty effective asshole.

Coming from Newt Gingrich, however, it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Republican landslide in 94 and despite his Machiavellian qualities he does have political
savvy.

If Reid said it, people would complain that we "can't win just by not being Republicans" and threaten that we'd lose the "base".

Maybe if he backed up his big talk every now and again, he'd be taken seriously.

Don't forget, it's a DRY HEAT here in Las Vegas, so just wetting & sticking your finger in the air doesn't work for him as easily...

He's done a surprisingly amount of good things recently, but has reverted to his usual form, unfortunately.

He was surprisingly good for a short time tho.

He is his usual disappointing self.

Where I was almost energized to go out and vote for him again, I'm not so sure anymore.

He has given me MORE reasons to stay at home now.

We are watching.

And the Dems are backsliding again.

They are gonna let this next election slip away AGAIN.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory that the REPUKES are GIVING us!

are going to say this at the polls. We have had enough and millions of ex-republicans like myself have already said we "have had enough".
