Will they go for someone more 'moderate' or they will chose another wingnut? I'll go for the second option...

1. I see your disgusting emoticon and raise you one...

I say Spector if they're smart, Sessions if they're the lovable, slimy Repukes we know and love.

if they lose their ass in the upcoming election, they will try to paint themselves as moderate and put McCain or Specter in. If they keep all of their seats, or god forbid pick up a seat, I say Santorum.

5. It will be another conservative southerner (no offense to southern DUers)
The likely possbility will be current Senate Majority Whip Mitch McConnell from Kentucky. However, if the Republicans lose seats, like four to five, then I think that Trent Lott will make a comeback and take his old position, given to him by a Republican caucus desperate for change, and McConnell will be seen a "more of the same" in the sense that he will be associated with Bush and Frist.

6. Where has Mitch been? I think of him as the Pillsbury dough man
I am not sure why but some thing happen to make him take a back seat. His face was every place at one time. It sure will not be Stevens as he had his screaming fit about not making it once before and we all saw what a baby he was, of the two year old age.
