Desperate politicians do desperate deeds....

Are we headed toward one of the dirtiest elections ever in November? Each day brings the Republicans closer to the realization that they may no longer be in power after the November elections. You can see the desperation setting in already. Look how great the Republicans are doing with the economy! Look how weak the Democrats are on national defense! Look at the unemployment rate! Look at the successful Medicare reform! Do you really want to return to the bad ol' days of Bill Clinton and the Democrats??

The bloodletting has not yet begun but when it does, head to higher ground. Elsewise, you may be drowned in it. But, never fear, they will reassure us that it is blood and not red ink, so nothing to worry about...

Before I go on I have to say that they are pulling another Schiavo incident IMHO

I have heard them clamoring about this for the last...well throughout the darkest days for W. What a perfect issue to get whities all fired up about.

Now we see that they didn't have their message packaged up and ready to go. I am just sure that Mehlman is aghast--they don't even have a SLOGAN for crying out loud.

Should be interesting to watch. With braintrusts like Cornyn and Allen out in front on this we should see quite the elevation in discussion. NOT!
