Teddy has been the only active member of the Senate fighting to raise the federal minimium wage; JRE is trying to raise awareness state by state on his poverty campaign.

It turns out the rally will be at 11:30.

Senator Edwards will join Senator Kennedy for a minimum wage rally in Washington D.C. tomorrow morning. The event will take place at Upper Senate Park on the corner of Constitution Ave. and Delaware Ave. on April 6th at 11:30 AM. So if you're in the D.C. area - or if you're up for a road trip! - please do attend the rally. Your voice will greatly strengthen our call for change.

The petition started by Senators Edwards and Kennedy has already garnered nearly 90,000 citizen co-sponsors for Senator Kennedy's bill to raise the federal minimum wage. The goal is to push that total upwards of 100,000 by the time the rally kicks off. So if you haven't already, please add your signature to this important petition, and be sure to forward that link on to your friends so that they too can sign.
