I never thought I would say this: Democrats are the fiscal conservative

...Party. The House is discussing the Budget on C-SPAN...From first glance, it appears that there will not be a budget bill this year. They will have a continuing resolution going into the November elections. It's should be obvious to the entire country that the Republicans are dangerously reckless with our government and our economy.

We also disagree on how money should be spent, but we are the party of savings, of Social Security Lock Boxes (how wise Al Gore sounds, in retrospect), of investment in cleaner air, education for the next generation, sustainability, all of the things that make a nation STRONGER.

And thus, when you think about National Security, we win that fight too....
