TrueMajority wants to help NEOCONS and FUNDIES "support our troops."

FINALLY, EVEN HARD-CORE NEOCONS CAN JOIN THIS BI-PARISIAN GRASS ROOTS EFFORT!

Dear DU,

An innovative way to show your opposition to the war in Iraq: use "Bring Them Home Now" postage for your taxes this year.

Seventy-two percent of our soldiers in Iraq say America should end our occupation of that nation this year. <1> It's more clear than ever that "supporting the troops" and "ending the war" are one and the same.

The creative activists at BringThemHomeNow.com have come up with a novel and symbolically powerful way to spread that message. When it comes time to drop your tax return in the mail this month, send it with the new anti-war postage.

Tax Day seems like exactly the time to start sending this message; right now those taxes are going toward an Iraq War bill that adds up to $2,442 for every household in America.<2> We know stamping a letter won't end the war, but every time one of us lets others know where we stand it strengthens our own convictions and makes the growing national mood change just a tiny bit stronger.

Besides that, buying this postage raises money for vets and military families who are working to end the war. TrueMajority members have supported the work of groups like Military Families Speak Out, Gold Star Families for Peace, Iraq Veterans Against the War and Veterans for Peace in the past, because the people who have suffered most directly from this war are among the strongest voices for a new path. Every sheet of anti-war postage will send them another donation to keep up their work. The folks at BringThemHomeNow.com are not making any money off of this effort -- after the costs of the postage itself and the expenses of handling and delivery, the rest goes to these volunteer citizens' groups.

To check out the campaign and show your opposition to the war on Tax Day, click here: http://www.goodstorm.com/image/bringthemhomenow/postage_in_sheets_of_20_1_sheet_20

PS, It loads real slow because people are buying them up like crazy since TrueMajoriy leant them some support. TrueMajority isn't playing. We mean business and there are thousands of us: JOIN TODAY! http://www.truemajority.org/fun/ It's fun and takes only minutes a month.

These postage stamps support the efforts of Cindy and her Gold Star Families and two other anti-war groups. They're not expensive, considering what we get out of the deal.

1. What if once a year we just mugged a Repuke and stole $2,442?
Oh, wait...

They each owe us $30,000 to pay-off our share of the deficit.

3. Oh, fuck.
Now I have to break into my neighbor's house and steal $42,000 worth of stuff.

If I steal too much, I have to return the surplus though, don't I?

5. If you see a car with a "W" sticker on it...
that stands for, "We have extra gasoline you can siphon."

6. LOL
Check these lyrics out:

Ballad for a Soldier - Leon Russell

When I was just a young boy I played with swords and guns
And I dreamed of the day I'd become a soldier
And kill all of the enemy, my country 'tis of thee
I sing this anthem sadly, won't you hear me

I watched the cannons blazing on the gaint silver screen
The swastikas were burning and the hero was me
The general gave the order, gladly I obeyed
But the movie faded quickly all at once today

And now I stand alone with the charges made
No where to run, not a place to hide
We're sad little children playing grown-up games
Guess the time has come, the damage has been done

Stray dogs that live on the highway walk on three legs
Cause they learn too slow to get the message

Just like the Indians in the early days
Battles lost and won, yet it still goes on
It's just another ballad for a soldier

I had no understanding 'till I saw my mother cry
When they told how many babies I had killed that night
A dozen color photographs inside a magazine
Told the morbid story like a movie screen

But I was not the hero I thought myself to be
Movies are much different from reality
The general was convicted to get off of the hook
But the President might free me for the chance I took

And we all stand alone when the charge is made
Sad way to live, what a way to die
We're all little children playing grown-up games
Can we burn the gun, before the next time comes

Stray dogs that live on the highway walk on three legs
They move too slow to get the message
Wake up and win that's all I have to say
We haven't really won 'till all the fightings done
And there are no more ballads for the soldiers
