Always nice to see a blogger making it on TV, especially a show like the Colbert Report.

until Kos said he wasn't optimistic about the November elections unless "the Democrats start standing for something". That's just plain wrong. When Colbert asked him why he wasn't optimistic, it was a golden opportunity to point out that the Democrats could explain what they stand for if they were given more media attention.

More importantly, he could have mentioned the fact that the last two presidential elections were very questionable, given the widespread problems reported by voters who were disenfranchised in one way or another. This is currently in the news, given the fact that 3 officials in Ohio have just been indicted (http://www.conyersblog.us/archives/00000419.htm).

Other than that, I was impressed with Kos' poise.

why should he be optimistic when they aren't are astute as he is?

Interview was alright, but I saw him strutting around the room at a book party in SF. My reaction -- Great, your an intelligent, progressive journalist using a new medium. So is everyone else on DU. Get over yourself.

saw him. I approve but I wish he had mentioned General Clark for President because I know he really likes him.

as much as he likes Warner and Feingold, according to his own lips. It would have been nice if instead of talking about who "he" likes, he would have talked about who the community that has helped make him famous likes....cause there, he would have been forced to include General Clark.

But you know what....It's Ok about who likes who for 2008....cause in the end, 2006 is what holds the key to our future.

He used to like Clark and was all for drafting him. I wonder what happened? Maybe Kos turned on him because he became a Dean supporter and there was no love lost in 2004 between Dean and Clark supporters.

I recently read an article over at Kos raving about Clark. I thought he had written it but I just re-read it. I was mistaken as someone else posted it on his site. Damn, I wish we had Kos on our side. I don't read him very often...only when someone here at DU sends me over there. Wow...a lot has happened since I used to go there.

Russ Progressive in your face get out of Iraq right now Feingold in one sentence with just a comma.....you have to wonder. Warner is paying Kos' partner to represent him to the Netroot....so I know why Kos l$kes Warner.....and if he is a true progressive, why he might like Feingold. But that's why he should have talked about what the community wants....cause the biggest complaint that Kos mentioned was that the politicians don't give a voice to the grassroots....but looking at Kos and that appearance, neither does he.
