They are muddling the Plame leak with the 'leak' of bush's illegal spying
Scotty tried it today.
And it is going to fly.
Simple:

The Democrats who leaked bush's
spying have committed treason because
this is a time of war and bush's
illegal spying is integral to the
war effort. Qaida is now aware of
bush's secret surveillance.
This is putting US soldiers in danger!!!
TREASON.

Watch the public forget all about Plame and
focus on those treasonous Democrats.
Once again.
Watch LIEberman call for censure of
the Congressional Democrats!

Scotty could not wait to tell that story today.
He bubbled over with glee.

2. It won't fly
I think it's hysterical that Bushco is trying to bury bad news with only slightly less bad news. They truly have nothing left to spin that the heart of America's buying.

6. Fox News will get er done.
The main thing is that the Democrats,
all hot and bothered over that bad bad McKinney,
will once again fail to to their job.

When you are out and about tonight ask
the people you meet what they know about the Plame
leak. Don't be scared when they stare back at you
with the blankness of a zombie.

This will go the way of the DSM.

10. Fox's ratings are dropping
And only a small percentage of the US population watches it anyway. I'm not saying things are going to be easy, but frankly, I haven't seen the MSM be able to spin away anything that's happened over the past few months.

Only a relatively small group of fanatics believes anything this administration says anymore. It's almost comical.

4. I noticed that but... Have we identified the leaker in that case yet?
How does Scotty know the leaker is a Democrat? With all this leaking going on it seems it's far more likely fro the leak to have come from the administration than from a Democrat member of Congress or something.

They still have all the power
with no opposition. The bottom
is far off.

11. Exactly why it could work so well
All they need to keep us in check:
1. Talking points that appeal to patriotism
2. The media presenting bias as news
3. The complicity of Congress
4. The uninterested complacency of the american people

This will go the way of the DSM.
All they need is time.
They'll just smooth 'er over till something
else catches our eye.

Republicans do not care about people: they care
about controlling people. And they are in control.

9. Yup, it's working
Bush if facing the lowest approval ratings of his presidency and some of the lowest ever for a US President.

The Democrats have a 16 point advantage over the Repubs in the coming election and the Repubs have lost the 'security' issue to the Dems.

Ahm, what am I missing here? Who exactly is not seeing through this?

12. Yet they continue to have their way
You cannot lose every battle and win the war.

On a bigger scale:
they cheated in 2000, they cheated in 2004.
Not much has changed since then.

Republicans do not care about people: they care
about controlling people. And they are in control.

14. And they are in deep, deep trouble.
There is more cause for hope today than there has been at any other time since 2000.

That is a good thing. It's why we try to change things and show up and give money to candidates and ring doorbells and so forth.

You can be depressed if you want, I'd rather fight.

13. If you are saying...
...that the American body politic is incredibly lazy and stupid, I would completely agree. That is the normal state of affairs at this point in the degeneration of empire. In fact, they must be suicidally complacent for the inevitable collapse to occur.

It takes the arrogance of success to breed its own denouement.
