1. Of course not.
Gore Vidal, for one, has repeatedly referred to the "Bush/Cheney junta."

7. Tighten it up
When you vote third party you take your chances and justify it to yourself by saying "Bush and Gore, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Alike as two Peas in a Pod, don't make no difference - I'll vote for Nader and send them a message" you get what you deserve.

14. Would Senator Kerry have put Sam Alito on the bench?
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 04:04 PM by DanCa
The supreme court is much too important to let a conservative pick judges that will make decisions which will effect our country for decades.

I used to vote all over the board. Hell I voted for Mccain because at the time I wasn't politically aware and I felt sorry for him because of the attacks chimpo made on him personaly. I also voted for Perot (sp) Stockdale, I realized after Mccain got beatten that a few mavericks wont change a party. It's now gang warfare and for better or worse I am sticking with the Donkey. Hey I can live and learn right :D

Of course than again Mccain is like junk food. Hey may come in a pretty package but too much of him will get you sick.

5. Of course you're not.
I think there are many more of us than the press or even Dems in congress would have us believe. So many of THEM have parroted the lies anf the talking points that, at this point, they are at best enablers, at worst co-conspirators. Going along to get along is no way to represent the truth OR the American people.

The coup d'etat is evident in the fact that when all was said and done, the press belatedly admitted that Gore won Florida. As is the case with many stories these days, many of us knew that before the press evidently did...

You are definitely not alone.

8. It was step one in the plan which we've seen unfolding ever since..
And the events of 9-11-01 were an integral part of that plan, in my belief. Yes, it was a coup d'etat.

10. Clearly. And, history will see it as such.
Make no mistake, this was clearly a Coup. Of course, we could look at the Reagan assassination attempt as a Coup attempt; the Kennedy assassination was a Coup...

Every time, we see the Bush Crime Family.

17. Seek the truth
I urge all of you suspicious of this to seek out the truth and to support historians and journalists who are willing to write about this truth ASAP. Otherwise, the guilty parties will be able to marginalize you as conspiracy theorists and wackos and you will have difficulty being taken seriously by the "mainstream." This is what was done to the Kennedy assassination research community in the 60's. The Johnson Administration used the Warren Commission, CBS News and secret examinations of the medical evidence to convince the citizenry that all was on the up and up. Only it wasn't. Thankfully, most Americans didn't fall for it. Unfortunately, the media and Academia--the ones who write history--DID.

For a look at the Kennedy assassination medical evidence and how it shows that the people were right and the government's experts wrong... http://homepage.mac.com/bkohley/Menu18.html

21. Thanks for the link but the one thing that will NEVER come of this........
...is a truthful accounting of who was responsible and why. Just like those responsible for JFK assassination have never been brought to justice the perpetrators of 2000 and 2004 will never be brought to justice either.

13. That's why we have DU
About Democratic Underground, LLC

Democratic Underground (DU) was founded on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2001, to protest the illegitimate presidency of George W. Bush and to provide a resource for the exchange and dissemination of liberal and progressive ideas. Since then, DU has become one of the premier left-wing websites on the Internet, publishing original content six days a week, and hosting one of the Web's most active left-wing discussion boards. http://www.democraticunderground.com/about.html

18. The coup actually began with the Clinton impeachment
IMO. By the time the election rolled around they had all kinds of things in play. Stealing the election was a simple case of driving home the runners they already had on base.

19. I've been saying it, too.
And many of the "ears" pricked up in recognition.

I also work with folks from other countries. They were appalled that more Americans didn't realize what had happened.
