IFAW veteran gets grilled on news interview, still comes out on top
Garret Reppenhagan was interviewed in depth on BBC News 24 's programme Hardtalk .

The latest opinion polls in the United States show that most Americans are now against the military campaign in Iraq.

Garett Reppenhagen's experience in Iraq - where he served for a year - has changed his mind on the occupation and has led him to leave the US Army.

He now campaigns for a group of former soldiers, Iraq Veterans Against the War.

They have fought there, become disillusioned and say it is time for America to pull out.

Mr. Reppenhagen is given a grilling by the interviewer, Sarah Montague, and gives a pretty good account of himself. In stark contrast to government mouthpieces he takes each tough question in turn and answers them directly and honestly.

After viewing the piece I gained the impression that the real reason the media is so tightly controlled is because the truth will always trump a talking point. The continual stream of lies would be unsustainable without the current monoculture of deceit and flabby questioning that passes for journalism in America.

Watch the interview (Real Player)

If any neo-cons were subjected to this tough line of questioning on the MSM everybody would see through them for what they really are. Added to that, they wouldn't be able to respond half as well as Mr. Reppenhagen & the rest of the IVAW.

1. And why was the interview on the BBC and not an American station?
Because it would be "treason", as defined by the Junta, to say such things in America.

3. Teresa Street and Inigo Gilmore got him the interview

They were the crew that stayed with us on the Walk to New Orleans and did the film piece on the walk that aired on the BBC. Garett Reppenhagen was one of the participants. Garett was instrumental in exposing the use of White Phosphorous in Fallujah.

A little about Inigo:
